It’s fantastic when a place surprises you.
Before heading off to Turkey, I researched Cappadocia and was convinced that it would be a special region to visit. I had seen dozens of photos before arriving, but none visually described the magnificence of The Rose Valley and the “Fairy Chimneys” the way the eye can. It was the most fascinating hike I had ever done: each dusty path leading to giant clumps of eroded, mushroom-like rock formations and vast valleys resembling airy dollops of soft pink meringue.
